PROSConvenient to carry if you need to do laundry out of your home Easier for kids and laundry-phobes to do it right Just like regular tide Priced competitively (as of this review writing) CONS No flexibility in measurement PRICING Some of the reviews here talk about pricing, which I want to address. These tide pods cost about 31 cents per pod, based on current Amazon pricing at the time of this review. This assumes 1 pod per load, which, according to the package instructions, is good for "most loads". The package does suggest using 2 pods for "heavily soiled" loads. But less assume 1 pod for an average load, just as a bottle of tide that says it's good for 32 loads assumes you are using a "normal" amount. Based on this, if you look at other Tide products sold here, you will see that the average load costs between 25-40 cents. Based on that, this product is no more expensive than the liquid version... Unfortunately, I don't really care for these! We don't pack our washer, but we have to use 2 of these at a time, or our clothes stink. We usually just use cold water on most of our washes, but I have noticed that these smell SO much better when hot water is used.My biggest disappointment is that these things stain white clothes. It wasn't until I read a few reviews saying this that I realized that's what happened. One of my favorite white shirts came out of the wash with stains ALL over it. I've yet to be able to get them out, either. If you have to travel at all to do laundry, I can definitely see the benefit of these. They are really cool little tabs. They feel much different than I expected. If it wasn't for the fact that washer detergent is in there, they would be really fun to play with. ;) They would be extremely easy to pack up for washing day, though. Overall, I'd say give these a try if you travel to do laundry, but DON'T use with whites. If... They were so easy to use just throw them in and that's it. I had to go to a different part of my dorm (four floors away) so I would just throw one of the pods ,or more depending on how many loads, in my basket and just throw everything into the washing machine. They also did not take up a lot of space in my dorm room which was great.I will be buying more of theses once I run out and everyone else should get them too. |
