5.0 out of 5 stars Really Nice Pods!, February 28, 2012

I saw this product at the local Costo store and decided to give it a try after moving from liquid to tabs for our dishwasher.

What I realized so far is that, the liquids are cheaper to buy but expensive to use. That is, not every one has a good judgement of how much liquid to use for the given load. So I end of using too much liquid thus making each load expensive and overall expensive soap purchase.

The pods works as advertised, one pod per load is good enough and it is well measured usage of detergents. I would say that because of this, not much detergents goes to the drain and thus environmentally better.

Since I live in a apartment complex, I have to carry the liquid soap bottle all the way to the laundry area and back. With this, I just have to carry few pods with me.

I would recommend this product very much.

2.0 out of 5 stars Packet does NOT dissolve in hot OR cold water, March 11, 2012

I really wanted to like these pods but the liner doesn't dissolve properly in any temperature.. My other half tends to spill liquid detergent. I find it difficult to judge the detergent level guides on my HE front loader so we either use the measuring cap or use too much. It's just messy. The pods -- in theory -- are great! The container is awesome and snaps closed. It even looks nice on its shelf :) And yes, they get our clothes clean (as far as I can tell) but after 6 or 7 loads of every size, using hot and cold I have found the packets DO NOT DISSOLVE. I keep finding them stuck in the grooves of the rubber seal in my washing machine door -- or, better yet -- just plain stuck to the door itself. The pods are NOT dissolving and a substantial amount of the colored liquid (either the pre-treater or brightener) remains in the half dissolved lining. I've put the pods in first and then loaded the clothes. No, I'm not overloading the washer -- I ran a cycle with just a few t-shirts on hot... Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars I SAVE money using Pods!!!, March 16, 2012
This review is from: Tide Pods Detergent Ocean Mist 77 Count (Health and Beauty)
Thank you Tide for releasing the Pods...I normally buy the 100oz bottle of liquid, but never get the amount of loads that it states that you should get with the bottle. These Pods have really saved me money. I can't use to much of the Pods like I am sure that I do with the liquid because they are already prefilled. I have no problems with the Pods dissolving in my washer. I have washed small loads and large loads and even used both cold water and warm and hot water. I still have no issues with these. I have never had any left over residue or anything in my washer or clothes. I do have a top loader HE washer without the agitator. I can see where people with a front loader would possibly have issues with these getting trapped in the door. In my previous washer (front loader), I would always find things in the door...baby socks, change, whatever...Tide Pods are GREAT for me!!!
