While they're both good, I'm going back to Ovacion. I like the scent better (I don't know what the other person is talking about a "talcum powder" smell--not for Ovacion!) than Forever New, and I've used less per wash. Just a tiny little squirt in a bucket and I can wash several bras. Maybe it's just me, but I tend to use too much when using the powder. I think both products are great for all fine lingerie and swimsuits. Oils are terrible for spandex and nylon! Body oils, tanning oils--even petroleum-based detergents. Ovacion and Forever New wash dirt and oils away without typical detergents, which can actually break down the fabrics. Everything gets that brand new-like "snap" back to it. I have some very expensive bras and swimsuits, and don't want to replace them as often as I used to have to replace my old bras, back when I used regular detergents. WOW is all I have to say! I keep an old plastic bucket, fill it with cold water, about a TBSP of Forever New and I put my bras OR delicate tops in and let them sit for about 10 minutes, swoosh them around and WALA. This stuff washes out, doesn't leave a residue. I lay my items out flat on a towel - roll the towel up and let them dry. I seriously cannot tell you what a difference this has made with all those cute summer tops that seem to fade after a few washings. My tops are still like brand new and my bras - this SAVES the elastic. Try it - you won't be disappointed. I use Ovacion to hand wash/drip dry almost everything in my closet -- not just hosiery. It's gentle, easy to rinse, leaves things looking new and lasts for ages -- in other words, miraculously effective and economical. I really hope the product is still going to be available in future but just in case I've been buying up every bottle I can find. Perhaps the company made something that was too good -- like The Man in the White Suit. |
